Austerity is far from over. Statistics and percentages may signal growth; but that is not what I see on the ground in Dublin Central and throughout Ireland, as usual it is the less well off in society who have been most effected by austerity – Water Charges, USC, Property Tax etc….and little of this growth trickling down. It’s time the Government took a reality check because it is Government policy in Ireland that has us implicated in creating this wealth inequality.
