I had a meeting with Dublin Bus last week in relation to their work in Dublin; good to see the company moving forward, more buses, more connecting routes and the company is recruiting drivers and adding to their fleet. I am opposed to any privatisation and opening certain routes to public tender. I have a particular affinity with Dublin Bus as my late father was a bus driver all his adult life, working out of Clontarf Garage. Dublin Bus have also been very supportive in providing transport for community events and youth outings.
