Last week we finished dropping the leaflet introducing Mel MacGiobúin as the Councillor for the Gregory Group. It was 1979 when I did that first leaflet drop with Tony Gregory when he stood in the local elections; his memory lives on and Mel and I will do our best to continue that legacy.
A major issue for Tony in 1979 was the lack of housing in the constituency; today housing is in crisis.
Mel notes Minister Hogan’s ‘alignment’ proposals in his latest post of the“promises to bring less than a 1,000 refurbished social housing units, when reports point to the need for tens of thousands of social and affordable houses”.
The very best wishes to Mel Mac Giobúin in the Local Elections. Posters go up tonight after mid-night and the campaign goes on in earnest from now. Help us and support us in keeping the Gregory Independent Community seat on Dublin City Council.
