I spoke on RTE Radio One in relation to Moore Street; Something seriously wrong when NAMA (which is owned by the people of Ireland) can charge the state €4 million for a derelict site of national importance. And does Dublin really need another shopping centre at the expense of a National Historic and Cultural Quarter that could be transformed from a ruin into a vibrant area filled with history, nostalgia, culture and housing, all complementing the street trading tradition ? Would any other country let the birthplace of their republic be sold off and leveled ?
